IN ISSUE #2 (of 3): After mapping a mountain range and thwarting a Peasant Rebel ambush, Jonathan and his men discover an ancient temple to the evil goddess Mara. The young officer quickly realizes that making maps is not the best skill when confronting Mara’s undead legion. Based on the award-winning action/fantasy screenplay, “The Eyes of Mara,” and inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s classic tales, HER MAJESTY’S BULLDOG BRIGADE goes back to a time of British might weakening over Colonial India. Today Apple updated their featured apps for this week – and iVerse is very proud that IDW Publishing’s fantastic “Star Trek: Countdown #1” is one of the featured titles. Being featured by Apple is a publicity that you literally cannot buy, and we’ve seen lots of reports from other App developers that being featured is a key way to have your application ascend the Top 100 Paid Apps list – which could potentially expose millions of iPhone and iPod touch owners not only to Star Trek – but digital comics in general.
This is going to be a great opportunity to truly see the potential of comics on the iPhone, and reach out to new readers who will hopefully dive into our catalog and check out the plethora of high quality titles that we’re lucky enough to have on our roster.
We’re looking forward to seeing where this takes us. This is one of many exciting developments we can’t wait to tell you more about in the near future. We’ve even got some things lined up that should make Comic Retailers excited…but that’s a whole different article.
