Another week another set of new comics releases!

For those of you interested we just submitted A TON of comics for the iVerse Comics catalog – once they are approved our catalog will be well over 400 titles, and at the rate things have been going around here, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the app break 1,000 comics in the next few months.

We also have a very special release this week that we’ll be talking about more over the upcoming holiday season.

iPHONE EXCLUSIVE ARCHIE COMIC

Archie Comics has created an IPHONE EXCLUSIVE holiday special – “Betty and Veronica’s Christmas Spectacular”.  This Christmas-themed special continues the “Betty and Veronica Spectacular” series in digital form, and there is more to come!

You can grab this special, iPhone only, issue as an individual App, or inside iVerse Comics(parents are cautioned, some content in iVerse Comics is not for kids, so you might want to get the book as a stand alone application).  If you do buy the comic as a stand alone app, and you have iVerse Comics (with push notifications turned on) you can flip over to the “info screen” and press the iVerse Comics icon.  When you do that you’ll be able to download the comic for FREE inside iVerse Comics – so if you want, you can have it both ways.

This method, btw, is also how the upgrades to existing stand alone comics will work once they have made it through Apple’s approval process.

This week’s releases include:

Killer of Demons #3 (Image Comics)
Afterburn #4 (Red 5 Comics)
Sabrina: Manga #4 (Archie Comics)

Iron Man #8 (Marvel Comics) – US ONLY
Immortal Iron Fist #13 (Marvel Comics – US ONLY
Amazing Spider-Man #527 (Marvel Comics) – US ONLY

WHAT ABOUT ANDROID?

Development continues on a completely new version of our original Android offering.  Very soon I will post a very detailed report on iVerseMedia.com about our Android experience thus far, and why we’ve needed to make some drastic changes to make the platform a viable place for content based applications like comics.  I know there are some of you out there that very much want to get your comics on Android – and we want to bring them to you – but it has to be done right, and done so in a way that is fair to both the consumer and the creators…and we’re working on it. ;)
