iVerse is a unique comic book entity because we’re producing a new kind of digital comic. Our titles are designed specifically for viewing on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch devices. With the release of the iPhone 2.0 software, and the launch of the iTunes App Store, it has become clear that Apple has introduced a new digital marketplace that has some amazing potential.
After experimenting with some traditional comic pages formatted into a “storyboard” style for viewing on the iPhone, it became very clear, very quickly, that the iPhone was the device to take downloadable digital comics to the next level.
We’re still kicking the tires around here, and we’re hard at work on our first titles. Very soon, you’ll find iVerse Comics on an iPhone near you…and we can’t wait to see what you think!
I think this is going to be big! I’d love to see comics become content for the iPhone! I follow you on Twitter and you made mention of looking for submissions. I’d be interested in knowing what kind of specs a comic would need to adhere to to work on the iPhone.
