    I think this is a great idea and I wish you all the best getting it ramped up. I work in the publishing industry in the digital division of a newspaper and we experience some of the same types of industry disruptions. The belief there is that digital is the direction we need to go and there is quite a bit of movement in that arena.

    I’ve seen the naysayers, but I encourage you to carry on regardless. As some of the long time industry pros have said, the numbers today of top sales would be cancellation numbers a few years back. That shows me there is a significant number of people not reading comics, particularly kids (but that’s more related to content being "dumbed down" rather than written in a kid friendly format, which is a different argument for another time).

    One thought that has crossed my mind recently is digitizing my collection for space reason, and to allow my 4 month old to enjoy them as well. We already have an iPod nano for him when he’s old enough to listen to kids music and watch videos on. I would love for him to be able to have digital copies of things I already own at his fingertips on a mobile device (iPod touch). Has any thought been given to allowing that functionality in your project?

    Thanks for the support!

    There is already a great application on the iPhone for people that are wanting to look at their CBR files and scanned comics called ComicZeal. We’re not planning on making anything like that.

    I don’t really enjoy the reading experience of zooming in and out of a traditional page, so we’re more focused on formatting specifically for the device that you’re using, but if you want to read scanned comics on an iPhone, ComicZeal is a great way to do it.
